Artificial Intelligence trends

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has played a significant role in the last decade. With the dependence of humans on technology, we may as well be headed towards becoming cyborgs in the near future with artificial components placed on or into our bodies enhancing our capabilities. Though these technologies will be implemented in the distant future, the current decade has a lot more of AI coming up. The following trends will be a major field of research in the coming decade:

Self-driven cars:

Companies like Google and Tesla have already started operations on self driven cars in the last decade. While trials are still underway, the full fledged movement of these vehicles will roll in around 7 to 8 years from now.

Big Data and Medicine:

Big data gathers both structured and unstructured data. This helps gather data stored in various formats. Big data is stored and analyzed for common symptoms and suitable treatment is prescribed.

Customer Service:

Online shopping sites like Amazon and eBay have implemented AI in their customer service. Intelligent algorithms are designed to take queries or feedback from users and provide a suitable and appropriate response.

Business Bots:

Now, we have ‘bots’ which understand business processes and even execute them. Most of these processes are done in the IT industry in the form of automation. Recently, automation has has resulted in many job losses and it is estimated that by 2050, 1 in 4 people in the world will loose a job due to this process.

Space travel:

Taking a trip to space and probably to other planets as well might be like an ordinary flight trip that we take these days. Projects have already been launched with trips to space and Mars.

In the coming years AI is going to dominate the market and open up lots os research possibilities in different fields of Science and Technology.
